Christian is an experienced teacher, workshop leader and writer and he has created a complete Psychology course that addresses every aspect of the new Guide.
The new course pack contains:
- All four Contexts fully written for an immediate roll-out to students in four separate booklets with Content and Concept integration complete:
- Each Area of Study/Context Learning Objective is addressed with:
- A minimum of one Content Learning Objective.
- A minimum of three Concepts
- Critical thinking taken directly from the Guide.
Therefore, the 4 Contexts are structured: Context Subheading -> Context Area of Study LO -> Context LO -> Content LO -> Conceptual Analysis and Critical thinking.
- This ensures every Context LO is addressed and every Content LO is addressed in a concise and consistent manner allowing students to answer every question on Paper 1. Empirical studies have been included to help teachers explain the material to students but these are not lengthy or complex in line with the guiding philosophy of the New Guide.
- Full conceptual analysis occurs at the Area of Study/Learning objective level and then again at the Context level as a summary section. Conceptual analysis is written using the related terms from the Guide.
- See the attached 3C Checker document for a comprehensive list of how and where the 3Cs have been integrated into the Context Booklets.
- Research Methodology booklet: It is written for an immediate roll-out to students including: Data analysis and interpretation (including issues which limit the interpretation for each type of graph); Research considerations; Research methods and Sampling techniques. Examples are provided throughout. This resource is fully complete and allows HL students to answer every question for Paper 3 as well as SL students to understand research methodology.
- All three Higher Level Extensions booklet: These are written using the ‘Examples of Areas of Inquiry’ from the Guide. Each contains ‘Other potential areas where the HLE may apply to the Context’. This allows students to answer Paper 3 (Question 4) with confidence.
- 5 Sets of Specimen Papers for Papers 1, 2 and 3 with fully written ‘Excellent Example Answers’ for each. 5 sets of Specimen Papers allows teachers to set exams/mocks for the 2 year course as well as provide plenty of in-class practice.
- An introduction to Concepts booklet with the related terms explained.
- Fully updated ‘How to’ document for each Exam with ‘Excellent Example Answers’ and instructions for every question.
- Fully updated ‘How to’ document for the IA including templates and checklists for student use.
- Class practical template for students to record their experiences in a document suited for Paper 2 revision.
- Each Context is interweaved with class tasks and Exam Questions.
